A List Of Condominium Amenities Tenants Commonly Receive

The condo life is one that is held by many. It’s appealing because owners are able to essentially buy an apartment and not have to worry about paying a monthly rent. Although there are dues to pay each month to maintain the complex, these are not usually substantial dues. As such, it can be very cost effective to sign on with a condominium complex with the right amenities.

Having a pool is something the average middle class family is going to have to strain in order to achieve. Pools can be very costly to install, maintain, and then repair if they should ever fall into disarray. They are perfect for the condo environment, however, since the dues of all the tenants should easily pay for pool maintenance. A sauna or jacuzzi are also two more amenities to look out for that are great to have.

A theater or movie house with a constantly updated library of movies is one of the newer ideas that seems to be circulating around the condominium world. Movies that are in high demand will probably be hard to find initially among populated condos, but overall it’s nice to be able to go downstairs and pick up a movie any time entertainment is needed.

Garaged parking is a must for anyone with an expensive car. Without being garaged, the car could be vandalized, stolen, or broken into. Weather such as ice and snow or extreme heat could also wear the vehicle down. At the very least, look for a condominium that offers parking that is roofed- allowing the effects of poor weather to be curbed.

The community in which you may live can always cut costs one way or another. A community that works together tends to be one that is able to ride out any conflicts and keep the place running smoothly. Check to see how well the board works together to solve problems, how they handle outsourcing work, and see how much you will be paying. An efficient board can offer many amenities for a reasonable or unbeatable rate.

Upper class condos will include a private lake or pond and trails, greenery, and a wooded landscape on the property. While these condos will be more expensive, it’s worth it for many since a condominium is a long term investment, much like buying a home. Ultimately it comes down to being comfortable with the condominium for a long period of time- often 15 years or more.

In Conclusion

Buying a condo is very similar to buying a home. You will have to go through the mortgage process, keep current on payments, and then of course keep current with dues that the board of directors decided to charge. It may or may not be more cost effective than owning a home.
